Courses & Syllabus
Undergraduate Programme:1. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture [B.Sc. Hon.(Agri.)]
Admission Procedure (UG): The
admission to B.Sc.Hon.(Ag.) course of the college is based on the rank
secured by the candidate in the Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance
Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissionerate of Entrance
Examinations, Govt. of Kerala.
The allotment is made through a Single
Window System of the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). Notification
for admission can be accessed from the official website of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. www.cee-kerala.org
The annual intake capacity of this
college is 50. Students from ICAR quota and Lakshadweep and Andaman -
Nicobar Islands are also admitted here in addition to this. Reservation
of seats to eligible categories is done as per govt. rules in force.Duration of the Courses:The B.Sc.Hon.(Ag.) Agriculture programme shall be of eight semesters (four academic years) duration, excluding the period of temporary discontinuance, if any. The maximum time limit permitted to complete the programme shall be fourteen semesters including the period of discontinuance, if any. The degree shall be awarded, under the seal of the University to the candidates who have successfully completed the requirements for the degree. Hostel facilities and ATM facilities are also available to the students in Campus.
Fee Structure (UG): The fee structure of the programme is decided by the Kerala Agricultural University every year before the commencement of the admission process.
Postgraduate programmes
1. Master of Science in Agriculture[M.Sc.(Agri.)] in the following three disciplines
- Agronomy
- Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry
- Agricultural Entomology
Admission Procedure ( PG ): Admission
to PG Course is done by the Kerala Agricultural University as per
procedure and regulations of the University. Details of notification for
admission can be obtained from the KAU website. www.kau.edu.
Minimum residential requirement for Master’s programme is four semesters excluding the period of discontinuance, if any. Of this atleast two semesters shall be spent in the concerned college. The maximum time limit permitted to complete the programme shall be eight semesters including the period of discontinuance and extension of joining time.
The degree shall be awarded, under the seal of the University to the candidates who have successfully completed the requirements for the degree. Hostel facilities and ATM facilities are also available to the students in Campus.
